I promised you in chapter nineteen that I’d write more concerning discouragement, disillusionment, despair, and disappointment. I’ve never heard in a church what I’m about to share. The only place I’ve heard it taught is in classes on deliverance.
Trust is an amazing concept, and it is meant to replace discouragement, disillusionment, despair, and disappointment! These four d-culprits defy trust, and it’s to your advantage to get out from under their power.
It’s not all that complicated, really. If you truly want to walk with complete trust in God, it means giving up disappointment. It means giving up feeling hurt. It means letting go of those kinds of feelings in favor of trusting that God will take care of your heart. God will take care of you in spite of your circumstances.
Disappointment and the other d-culprits are tools of Satan to put up a wall between you and God. They are the devil’s attempt to prevent you from truly trusting your heavenly Father.
Yes, I’m aware that these feelings come as a result of something that’s not your fault. God will deal with the other people in your circumstance appropriately and in time. I will interject here that He will deal with them according to what He sees and not what you see. Therefore, it’s not always true the situation will play out the way you’d like.
The point is that God will take care of your heart, and He will deal with others in your life in their best interest. We need to be okay with that.
